Please note that from the 1st September 2019 patients who are ordering medication will need to provide the NAME of the medication the DOSAGE being taken.
Everyone is provided with this information on the right hand side of their prescription each month. If this information is not provided then we will not be able to process your prescription.
Medication requests can only be taken over the telephone between 9am-2pm however online services are available to order medication and book appointments.
Alternatively, you can hand your right hand slip into the reception during opening hours but you MUST tick the medication that is REQUIRED. Failure to do this will result in requests not being processed. You can also handwrite your requests with your details and the medication and strength required.
By keeping a selection of essential medications at home you can treat common conditions in a timely manner, avoid unnecessary trips to see your doctor and/or even visits to the A&E department more>>

Medication ordered on a Monday will be ready for collection on a Thursday
Tuesdays orders can be collected Friday
Thursdays orders can be collected Mondays
Fridays orders can be collected Tuesday.
We would like to make patients aware that our Contract with NHS England allow the practice to prescribe to all our patients but only allows us to dispense to patients who live more than a mile from a local chemist. If the local chemists are closed, we are permitted to dispense as an emergency measure to any patient who needs medication urgently.

We are a 3 Partner 2 Salaried teaching/dispensing practice, which is involved in the training of qualified doctors who wish to gain experience in General Practice. We also have 3rd Year and final year medical students visiting the practice as part of their undergraduate training(for more information click here) . We are a research Practice. We also have a Nurse Practitioner working two days a week.
Our main surgery is located at Belford, and we operate a branch surgery at Seahouses Health Centre.
